The Very Present Future of Barcelona was born out of my idea to contribute to the excellence of the place that I have chosen as home. It grew from the question, “Is Barcelona better cause I am here?” Given my occupation, this project was an obvious answer of what I can do to invest in the community.
These interviews are interviews with people, regardless of birthplace, who have made Barcelona and Catalonia their home and are investing in the excellence of the place by doing what they do. They are not meant to be exhaustive nor span all the amazing work that is happening and characters that are living in Barcelona and Catalonia. It helps that the city and region has a rich history of innovation going back to the middle ages.
Despite the political winds and setbacks from near and far, Barcelona still has and will have for some time to come the quality of raising as well as calling interesting and dynamic thinkers from around the world.
I am proud to work with Metropolitan Magazine and Carol Moran on many of the interviews.
